What is Smart Cash?

It is how banks and large companies have grown their working capital for years without locking it up. Your balance buys shares in Spiko Smart Cash, a regulated UCITS fund. Your return moves with the central bank rate, accrues daily, and you can access it again on any business day.

01

The balance you set aside buys shares in Spiko Smart Cash, a regulated UCITS fund. Amundi, Europe’s largest asset manager, manages the assets.

02

The fund tracks the central bank rate, locked in through a fully collateralised contract with BNP Paribas. So your return moves with the central bank, not with the stock market.

03

Your return is accrued daily, and you can withdraw on any business day at no cost.

Smart Cash is a brand name. You invest in the Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund, a sub-fund of Spiko SICAV: a regulated UCITS, offered by Spiko Finance SAS. Investing involves risk. The value of your investment can fluctuate and you may lose part or all of your stake. Yields are variable and not guaranteed; past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. If you invest in a currency other than the euro you also take currency risk. Read the Key Information Document before you invest.

Treasury is available from Pro. You invest in the Spiko Amundi Overnight Swap Fund — referred to on this site as Smart Cash, a brand name — a sub-fund of Spiko SICAV: a UCITS approved by the AMF, managed by Twenty First Capital with Amundi as delegated asset manager and offered by Spiko Finance SAS. Spiko Finance SAS is your counterparty for this investment. GoDutch is not a bank, does not provide the investment service and pays no interest; we only give access to this fund product. This is not a savings account and not a bank deposit: your stake is not guaranteed, the value can fluctuate, yields are variable and no deposit guarantee scheme applies. If you invest in a currency other than the euro you take currency risk. Past performance is no guarantee of future results. Current rates are shown in the app. Read the Key Information Document and the prospectus before you invest.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Treasury is an investment in a regulated UCITS fund. Below are the most important questions about how it works.

Treasury is an investment in a regulated UCITS fund. Below are the most important questions about how it works.

How does Treasury work?

Treasury converts your balance into shares in Spiko Smart Cash, a regulated UCITS fund managed by Twenty First Capital with Amundi as delegated asset manager and offered by Spiko Finance SAS. The fund tracks the central bank rate. Your return accrues daily. Read more about Treasury.

Is Treasury the same as saving?

No, Treasury is not the same as saving. You invest in a fund, which is not a savings account and not a bank deposit. The value of your investment can rise and fall, and no deposit guarantee scheme applies. GoDutch is not a bank and does not pay interest; we only provide access to this fund product.

What are the risks of Treasury?

Treasury involves market risk, liquidity risk and credit risk, because you invest in a regulated UCITS fund. The risk indicator is 1 out of 7, but not zero: you may lose part of your investment. If you choose a fund in dollars or pounds, currency risk is added. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. No deposit guarantee scheme applies: this is not a savings account and not a bank deposit, and your investment is not covered by the protection that applies to bank deposits. What the risk indicator means is explained by the Dutch regulator in Risk indicator and KID, the indicator for this fund is in the Key Information Document.

What does Treasury cost?

Treasury is included in Pro and Max, so you pay the subscription fee of your package. The fund's management fee is factored into the rate you see. Withdrawing from the fund is free of charge. If you subsequently transfer the amount to another account, the normal rate per SEPA transfer applies.

Can I always access my money with Treasury?

You can withdraw with Treasury on any business day that the markets are open, without a notice period and with no withdrawal fees. Your working capital therefore remains available.

Who manages my money with Treasury?

Your money is not managed by GoDutch. Your participation in the fund runs through Spiko Finance and is separate from the balance on your current account. GoDutch only facilitates access to this fund product.

Does Treasury change anything about my cashback?

No, Treasury does not change anything about your cashback. You earn cashback per transaction with your cards, and your return comes from the fund. The two are unrelated and do not affect each other.
