Qonto is a French fintech company and European neobank that has been active in several European countries since 2016, including the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, and Italy. The company focuses on freelancers and small to medium-sized enterprises. Qonto is supervised by the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR), part of the Banque de France. Client funds are held with partner bank Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, separate from Qonto’s own corporate finances.

Qonto business account packages
Qonto offers three standard packages for Dutch entrepreneurs: Basic, Smart and Premium. Each package includes specific features, transaction limits and pricing structures. Qonto Basic
The Basic package is Qonto’s entry-level package. It includes one business account with one physical One Card (Mastercard Debit). The first thirty transactions per month are included, after which €0.40 applies per additional transaction.
The package includes basic functionalities such as invoicing, supplier payments and integration with accounting software. This makes the package suitable as a business account for self-employed professionals and freelancers.
The monthly cost is €3 excluding VAT. Virtual cards can optionally be added for an additional fee per card. The account can generally be opened within a few minutes up to a maximum of two working days.
Qonto Smart
The Smart package includes one main account and one sub-account, including one physical One Card and fifty virtual payment cards. The first sixty transactions per month are included, followed by €0.40 per additional transaction.
In addition, accounting features, reports and a balance remuneration are included: 4% for the first two months and 1% thereafter. This package is intended as a business account for a private limited company or as a general partnership account. This allows them to benefit from additional features, such as supplier management and access for an external accountant. The monthly cost is €12 excluding VAT.
