This book can be viewed as a monument to the Biesbosch Museum on its 25th anniversary. There are three hundred short stories on the country’s largest and most untouched nature park De Biesbosch, illustrated by numerous photographs. All sorts of subjects, including the historical and the current, are included. Indigenous animals such as beavers, and the rich range of flora and fauna including the willow stands, the wartime refugees and their hide-outs, the floods, recreation, and specific local trades. They all merit attention in nearly twenty sections.
