History

Serving the Netherlands language community since 1954 as Hollandia News, since 1958 as Goed Nieuws, and from 1971 as the Windmill Herald, our newspaper is a vital link between those who adopted Canada or the U.S.A. as the country of their choice and the Low Countries from where they originated.

The publishers cherish freedom of thought, expression and religion and encourage members of the community to contribute their values to the fabric of the country in which they settled.

The news is presented from an objective point of view, recognizing the cultural development and tradition of the Netherlands. Published in three editions: Western Canada, Central Canada/Maritimes, and the USA.
