Edam fish-and-cheese

450 grams fish fillets - 1 pound
100 grams sliced aged cheese - 3.5-4 oz.
100 grams sliced ham - 3.5-4 oz.
2 eggs
1 deciliter milk - 3 fl. oz
50 grams Parmesan grated cheese - 2 oz.
salt & pepper
lemon juice
paprika powder

Lightly sprinkle the fish fillets with salt and lemon juice. Line a greased oven dish with half of the cheese slices and top them with half of the ham. Put the fillets on top of the ham and cover them with the rest of the sliced cheese and ham.

Beat the eggs with the milk, paprika powder and pepper and pour over the contents of the dish. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake in a pre-heated oven at 350ºF/175ºC for about 45 minutes until golden brown.

Serve with a salad of tomatoes and romaine lettuce and mashed potatoes.
