Scanner to reveal hidden objects to archeologists

BORGER – The yearn to know what lies beyond the horizon has led explorers further and further away from home. Archeologists do not need to go so far, as there is much to be discovered below the surface where they live. They may not disturb the soil below the massive boulder-structures called hunebedden, the ancient burial sites of which the Province of Drenthe has several. New technology, called Groundtracer, allows archeologists to scan the site and still learn something about the hidden things. It is not likely that a report on the scanning results will be released.
