BOSKOOP – Ornamental silviculture has put the South Holland town of Boskoop firmly on the map in its specialized industry in the Netherlands and far beyond Dutch borders. The town has thrived in this segment industry for years, yet the current conditions for growth in a highly competitive world is far from optimal. Boskoop and the surrounding region have acknowledged as much in a new report Intermunicipal Structural Vision, sponsored by Boskoop, Rijnwoude, Waddinxveen and Reeuwijk. Participating as well are the province and the area’s water control board Rijnland. Among other things, it is noted that Boskoop, being an imported supply centre, requires better accessibility.
