Police arrest belligerent moped riders in wild west scene

Tags: Excerpts from the Windmill

ZAANDAM – Local police witnessed wild west scenes recently when they signaled two youths riding a moped to stop for a check of a noisy muffler and speeding without lights. The police used their bicycles as barricades to block the way for the moped, a light motorcycle. Instead, the youths, aged 14 and 15, took a run at the bicycles, and attempted to squeeze by them. Unfortunately for the youths, their moped hooked one of the bikes, downing the speeding moped, and making the arrest of the belligerent riders a lot easier.
