VUGHT – Posting photographs, and even albums, on the Internet has been possible for some time. Many people have put some photographs on dedicated image banks such as www.flickr.com to attract attention to their camera skills. Not as common yet are initiatives such as the one by Het Brabant Historisch Informatie Centrum, which in recent weeks has uploaded hundreds of historic images of the town of Vught. In total, it plans to post about 1,000 old photographs showing Vught life and events between the 1930s and 1950s. A significant number of the images came from the Fotopersbureau Het Zuiden, a photo news service. Those interested in Vught and its history no doubt will appreciate this formidable collection at www.flickr.com/brabantbekijken. In addition, the Centrum also posted some images from the towns of Cuijk and Grave.
