Four Day Walk easily largest Dutch sporting event

NIJMEGEN – The Four Day Walk, already held for decades in the Nijmegen vicinity, recently attracted tens of thousands of participants and onlookers to the two thousand year old Dutch city. Over 34,000 of the 37,000 people who had started it, completed various distances of the walk which had been cancelled over excessively hot weather last year. The walk easily is the largest Dutch sports event and also ranks high in world sports event, organizers say.
