North Holland wants borders adjusted to take in Antilles

HAARLEM – Now that several Antilles islands have agreed to continue as municipalities within the Kingdom of the Netherlands, officials at the Province of North Holland see a new opportunity to expand their territory, claiming close ties with the Caribbean islands. The province already is the departure point for travelers to the Antilles and also is home to numerous Antillian migrants. The accord with the Antilles does not mention a provincial umbrella but North Holland thinks they need one.
